This circuit is another beautifully modern design by Herman Tilke however even he couldn’t stop the sand which is the major problem here, okay the turns are difficult with traction control a major problem, they spray glue on to the track surround to try and limit blown sand, but turns 1, 3, 5 and 7 make heavy use of the brakes a necessity couple that with extreme heat and you start to see the problems the drivers have, however there is one major blessing from the drivers point of view no humidity.
This circuit is split into two with the desert section and an oasis with more overtaking sections than most tracks it has four straights leading into tight corners, which is the desired format for overtaking. Turn 5 to 7 provides a wonderful sequence of turns with a fast left , right, left combo add to that the dust and whoa do those drivers have to worry. The oasis sections is near the pits with nice grass verges and the huge grandstands. Click Here to visit Coral Sports book Now!
