Nestling in the Ardennes hills this is probably one of the best grand prix circuits anywhere. Constantly re evaluating and re-inventing itself, this course doesn’t live in the past yet it is often seen as a dinasaur it has recently added a new pit complex.
This track first hosted the Belgian Grand Prix in 1925 that was won by Antonio Ascari driving an Alfa Romeo. This is the track that Michael Schumacher gained his first GP victory and it seems he’s been winning here ever since.
What about the track the first hairpin hits you moments after you’ve left the grid. What happens next is breath taking the track drops to Eau Rouge a left right at the foot of the dip and before the drivers can catch their breath they have to fight the car through a left hand kink Raidillion. A long climb to Les Combes and the track falls away again your faced with the double apex Pouhon then comes the Fagnes esses then a climb back up to the pits, think you can relax forget it the Bus Stop chicane has been added to make you think. What a track.
