The Brazilian fans will tell you that Formula One is Interlagos and Interlagos is formula one. The problem is Interlagos is old and doesn’t meet the standards provided by the new super tracks but what it does have is Brazilian fans this place is something special the atmosphere is unbelievable.

All that aside this track provides the drivers with some serious challenges it’s an anti clockwise circuit and turn 1 has a blind entry and an apex on a crest, the cars then drop and pick up speed to the foot of the compression that is Senna S then shoot through Curva do Sol for the race to Descida do Lago, this double left points the cars back up to Ferra Dura then it’s all about the rhythm method as the cars go through a series of lefts and rights.

Then you can accelerate hard through the curve that is Juncao onto the long curving turn onto the finishing straight but with concrete walls on either side it’s like driving through a tunnel. This track is made more difficult by all the bumps and constant changes of gradient make this a very physical circuit and if it rains there are parts you will be driving through streams.
