The first Grand Prix held at the Nurburgring was the 1931 German GP and as you would expect a Mercedes won it.
This circuit has been missing from the Grand Prix circuit for quite some time and there is no doubt it won’t be with us for much longer, slightly modified in recent times by Hermann Tilke changing the first corner from a right-left into a hairpin on lap 1 follow this with a sharp left then another that banks as well and it’s game on.
There are interesting drops into the hairpin at Dunlop Kehre then you climb up the incline to Michelin with a chicane that creates great overtaking moments and if that wasn’t enough don’t forget the rain. It always rains at the Nurburgring. This course has just about one of every type of corner what more do you want.
