Born in Soumoussalmi, Finland on 19 October 1981 he’s had 17 grand prix starts gained 30 points. However he has now moved into McLaren’s stable and should do even better. His first Grand Prix was the 2007 Australian his best result was 2nd in the Japanese GP.
Known in Scandinavia for his karting it was when he raced in British Formula Renault that he gained some notable wins. He then raced for Fortec Motorsport in British Formula 3 in 2002 he picked up speed as the year went on and he gained a couple of wins to rank him third overall, he then moved on to Nissan world series and with one win in 2003 he took the title in 2004 but what gained everybody’s attention was when he won the race of champions beating Michael Schumacher, Renault snapped him up as a test driver before unleashing him on the circuit in 2007.
