Born in Pescara Italy on 13 July 1974 - Jarno has had 184 grand prix starts with one win.

Jarno was a world karting champion in 1991 if you wanted to win a karting title in the 90's you had to beat this guy. F3 beckoned him in 1995 and he joined part way through the season winning the final two German rounds. 1996 was his first full season in F3 and he was an easy champion, not wanting to waste any time he moved straight into F1 and started racing for Minardi in 1997 then he was transfered to Prost he finished second in the 1999 European GP and duly moved to Jordan from Jordan he went to Renault in 2002 and in 2004 moved to Toyota.
