No rookie has ever made the impact that Lewis Hamilton did in his first season in Grand Prix, born in Stevenage, England on 7 January 1985, he raced his first Grand Prix in Australia 2007 he has made 17 GP starts and had 4 wins, 6 pole positions and amassed 109 points to finish runner up in the Drivers Championship.

Starting out in Karting he won almost everything but the biggest success he had was to come to the attention of McLaren’s Ron Dennis. It was McLaren who offered the advice and ensured he enjoyed the best equipment, that turned Lewis into the pro that he is.

2002 saw Lewis learning Formula Renault and a year later he became British Champion he then went on to bomb his way through GP2 F1’s feeder. The problem for Lewis is everyone now expects him to win the title in only his second season. Just goes to show you expect it and it happens Lewis Hamilton World Champion 2008.
