Nico Rosberg - Mercedes GP are hoping that their young star in the making will be taking his rightful place on the podium this season. However many believe it's the car that's at fault and not young Nico.

Nico was partner to Lewis Hamilton throughout most of his karting career and he's hoping to step out of the shadow of the most succesful british driver for years. His first attempt at car racing was a huge success he won the 2002 Formula BMW ADAC series. He won in his first season in the Formula 3 Nico moved onto the ART Grand Prix team for GP2 in 2005 and beat Keikki Kovalainen to the title and earned himself promotion to F1, he's had 35 Grand Prix starts and won 24 points.

Nico was born in Wiesbaden, Germany on the 27th June 1985.
