Pedro de la Rosa has been around for a while and has yet to make his mark maybe this year with BMW Sauber he can achieve what he has promised for so long yet just kep missing out on. In 1990 he was Spanish Formula Ford 1600 Champion, plus two podiums from six races in British Formula Ford 1600 series the next year he was Fourth in Spanish Formula Renault Championship, with three podium finishes. 1992 British and European Formula Renault Champion. 1993 Sixth in British Formula Renault Championship. 1994 British Formula Three Series. By 1995 he was Formula Three Japanese Champion. 1996 saw him move to F3000 where he finished Eighth in Formula Nippon F3000 series and the All Japan GT Championship. A year later he was Formula Nippon F3000 Champion, with 10 podium finishes, and All-Japan GT Champion. It was in 1998 that he moved upto Formula One has a test driver for Jordan. 1999 was his Debut Formula One season with Arrows. he only managed to score a single point at the Australian Grand Prix. 2000 was a good year for Pedro when he got two sixth places at the European and German Grands Prix. In 2001 he decides to Join Jaguar mid season. He Scored three points to finish 16th in driver standings. However 2002 while still with Jaguar he Fails to score any points, realising he needed to move on in 2003 he joins McLaren as official test driver. 2005 sees him step up to Test and third driver for McLaren. Bahrain sees him Get unexpected race call up due to injury to Juan Pablo Montoya. 2006 steps into race seat for French Grand Prix after Juan Pablo Montoya's shock departure. However he can't make the permanent step up so in 2010 he signs to race for BMW Sauber.
