Born in Lindenfels, Germany on 18 March 1982 he's had 4 grand prix starts upto 2007

Timo his on his second attempt at F1 having first raced for Jordan in 2004 like most F1 drivers Timo started out in karting then stepped up to cars in 1990 where he won the BMW ADAC Formula Junior Cup. He won the German Formula BMW title in 2001 he followed that with two more good years in F3 before joining Jordan in 2004. He finished 7th on his first outing but then had to wait until the end of the season for three more races. Unfortunately he was dropped then spent the next year racing Champ Cars for the Rocketsport team. Keen to get back into F1 he returned to Europe and raced in GP2 in 2006 ranking fourth behind Lewis Hamilton who won just about everything. He was clearly the best driver in GP2 in 2007 but if it could go wrong for him it did, despite this he managed to lift the title.
