Heart of Midlothian FC was one of the founding members of the Scottish league in 1890 and the only club from the East of Scotland.

They established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in Scotland and won several trophies throughout the 50's and 60's.

In 1998 they won the Scottish Cup under the management of Jim Jefferies and have went on to become one of the biggest and respected clubs in the SPL.

Former manager Craig Levein achieved moderate success recently in the UEFA Cup and they have built up a reputation for playing attractive football and having a successful youth policy.
