Founded by Irish football enthusiasts in 1875, Hibernian are one of the most famous clubs in Scotland and they have become pioneers for British football.

They were the first British club to enter European competition in 1955 when they were invited to compete in the inaugural Champions Cup.

During this time they had their famous forward line known as "The Famous Five".

Over recent years famous names such as Alex Miller, Alex McLeish and Frank Sauzee have managed the club with Tony Mowbray now at the helm.

Mowbray has blended an exciting group of young players at Hibs, who went onto finish third during the 2004/2005 season and have brought European football back to Easter Road to the delight of their supporters.
